Carly Fiorina Criticizes Tina Fey As "Disrespectful...Sexist"

McCain spokeswoman Carly Fiorina has weighed in on the major issue of today, namely, 30 Rock creator Tina Fey's portrayal of vice presidential contender Sarah Palin from this weekend's Saturday Night Live. Fiorina, astonishingly, termed it "disrespectful." Because that's what SNL does - paint flattering pictures of political figures. You'd think she'd be immune to such concerns, or at least not humorless about it -- after all, the very candidate she supports went on SNL last season and wittily lampooned his own age. But in Fiorina's opinion, Fey was "sexist" and failed to delve into Palin's substance.

Radiation treatment and implant placement together have a high incidence of complications including infection and implant exposure. Being that in 2009, Ms Fiorina was likely in the midst of planning her Senate run. She might have opted for a less debilitating implant-based reconstruction for practical reasons. Such a choice might have also been based on the availability of soft tissue with which two breasts could be made. Carly is thin of build. Tissue-based breast reconstruction also has its share of problems, but late in the game infection is not usually one of them.

California Republican Senate candidate Carly Fiorina has been released from the hospital after being treated for an infection related to reconstruction surgery.  She had previously been diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent bilateral mastectomies with reconstruction, with the last stage being performed back in July.  What type of infection could this be, many months after her last surgery?

Hopefully the infection does not involve a breast implant, which is often used in reconstruction.  If an implant is infected, it needs to be removed, typically for six months to allow the infection to resolve.  For those six months the patient would have only one augmented (or reconstructed) breast.  This is my greatest fear when operating on smokers, who have a five times higher risk of healing complications over nonsmokers.

To treat her breast cancer, Carly decided to undergo a double mastectomy, and later had breast reconstructive surgery. After the double mastectomy, Carly was also treated with chemotherapy, which caused her to lose her hair. Last month, Carly was hospitalized due to complications from an infection resulting from the reconstructive surgery.

On his blog, OcBody plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia says, “According to the article, Ms Fiorina had breast cancer with radiation and chemotherapy involved in her treatment along with her breast reconstruction. This does not bode well for implant-based reconstruction that she probably had.”

Born Cameron Michelle Diaz on August 30, 1972 in San Diego, California, she started her career as a model at age 16 when she signed with Elite Model Management. She then traveled around the world to work for such companies as Calvin Klein and Levi’s. She also graced the cover of Seventeen magazine when she was 17.

While Cameron Diaz told the surgery was for medical reasons, many celebrity watchers and celebrity gossip websites believe that it was not only for medical, but also cosmetic enhancement.

Cameron Diaz is not the only one of Hollywood celebrities who had a nose job for medical reason. Jennifer Aniston and Ashley Tisdale also have admitted to have had a rhinoplasty to repair the deviated septum.

In addition to having a nose job, she was also rumored to have a deal with Botox or fillers. If we are judging her recent photos, it is obvious her face looks fresher, smoother and shinier than before. It indicates that Botox or fillers play important role to create such stunning look.

Additionally, Cameron’s face looks fuller and puffier than ever which could be as the result of filler injection. Well, it is no doubt if filler can effectively reduce the wrinkles, but when it is overused, it can give you such bloated puffy face and chipmunk cheeks. In Cameron’s case, it is still hard to tell whether her fuller face is the result of filler or weight gain.

She then returned to mainstream films with My Best Friend’s Wedding and A Life Less Ordinary, both released in 1997. She also received critical acclaim for her performance in the 1999 film Being John Malkovich, for which she earned BAFTA, SAG and Golden Globe nominations for Best Supporting Actress.

Her prolific career continued in the late 1990s and early 2000s with the films Any Given Sunday and the successful adaptation of Charlie’s Angels. She received further acclaim for her performance in Vanilla Sky. She also voiced Princess Fiona in the animated film Shrek, for which she earned $10 million.

Plastic Surgery Speculations
As an A-list actress, she was not able to escape rumors of plastic surgery. The speculations stopped when she confirmed that she has had a procedure to correct the damage done by a surfing accident.
In an interview with W magazine, she stated: “It’s not cosmetic — it’s purely medical, I’m getting it fixed. I can’t take it. I cannot breathe at all. One side of my nose is totally shattered – my septum is basically like a train derailed.”

Cameron Diaz nose job was confirmed by celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn. They called the procedure a septum repair, which can create a straighter nose. Its main purpose is to restore breathing but it can also enhance a crooked nose.

Although she has not yet confirmed of any other procedures, there have been rumors that she has had breast implants. Previous and recent photos have surfaced online where people thought it was apparent that she had gone from nearly “none” to A or B cup size.

When asked about her opinion on plastic surgery, she said: “I’m not comfortable with the idea of cutting myself up. I hope I never become that vain. I will never get breast implants… I’m happy with the way I look.”

She is also rumored to have taken Botox Fillers. People have started noticing that her facial expression does not resemble her old expression. Some even noting that she has made her face into a mask.
