Did Emma Thompson have Plastic Surgery Before and After

Oscar-winner Emma Thompson feels that going under the knife is against nature and an abnormal process. The 55-year-old actress finds Botox psychotic and unhealthy, reported Hello magazine.
"It's mad. It's not a normal thing to do, and the culture that we've created that says it's normal, is not normal. It's chronically unhealthy and there's this very serious side to all of that," Thompson said.

"Serious because we're going to end up with this sort of 'super-culture' that's going to suggest to young people, girls and boys, that this looks normal. And it's not normal," she added.

Thompson said while working on The Love Punch, which sees her character Kate Jones reuniting with her ex-husband Richard, played by Pierce Brosnan, got her thinking about whether couples can benefit from spending time apart.
"It's actually not a bad idea to say, 'OK, just for a year, you need to go off'. Not be with other people - I think that's very difficult, all that free love stuff which has been tried and tested and proven to be very, very tricky," she said.

"But it's interesting that two people who know each other very well come back together again and love each other in a different way, a better way," she added.

Emma Thompson: I’ll Never Have Cosmetic Surgery
British actress Emma Thompson has revealed that she will never have cosmetic surgery. Thompson, who recently turned 50, has said that she is looking to grow old gracefully rather than be ‘fiddled with’.

“I’m not fiddling with myself,” Thompson explained to Showbiz Spy. “We’re in this awful youth-driven phase now, where everybody feels they need to look 30 at 60. I hate that. The trick is to age honestly and gracefully.

“I’m taking a year off. That’s my birthday present to myself. I’m not going to act, write or anything like that. I’ll be a mum, teach drama at my daughter’s school, I’ll cook meals and have fun, go out with my friends, I’ll go to movies and not think about working. I’ll see what bubbles up after that.

As an actor and writer, sometimes I think you have to stop creating and let your brain relax. I think it hones the appetite. I think that’s important.

Being publicly against plastic surgery is in fashion with many of the Hollywood elite.

When looked at historically, many of the same actresses who speak in such a manner have had plastic surgery themselves. Kate Beckinsale is a good example. She spoke against plastic surgery, but was a former breast implant client.

Emma Thompson Continues to Reassert Her Stance Against Plastic Surgery
Despite the pressure of looking good in the entertainment industry, Emma says she would never bend on her stance against cosmetic surgery.

Via New! Magazine, Emma Thompson tells Graham Norton that plastic surgery is psychotic, “Look at me, I’m normal. I really wouldn’t do anything. It’s psychotic to have your body opened up and stuff put in and injecting yourself with poisons.”

As Emma seems to look better with every passing year, either she has found movie magic in real life, or she just takes really good care of her skin. Although she is not a member of the British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League, Aussie actress Cate Blanchett has also been adamant in her stance against plastic surgery and instead says she uses sk II skincare products to help her skin recover and rejuvenate from the heavy makeup and occasional prosthetics she sports in her various roles. As Emma has the same opinion and similar work needs, she too probably uses excellent skincare products to keep her skin looking fresh.

While one of the best ways to look youthful without plastic surgery is to have perfectly white, straight teeth, which many actors achieve via dental veneers, Emma appears to have her own natural teeth, slightly imperfect as they are. Most likely at home teeth whitening products and devices help keep Emma’s smile in style.

It seems that Emma is always working on one project or another and she is currently busy promoting her upcoming film, Saving Mr. Banks. The film is about the making of the classic family film, Mary Poppins, and Emma plays the book’s author, P. L. Travers as she meets with Walt Disney (played by Tom Hanks) to have her book transformed onto the big screen. Although it isn’t yet in theaters, the movie is already generating Oscar buzz for Tom Hanks, who has also been talked about for his title role in Captain Phillips, which was out earlier this year. It seems that after taking on comedies and dramas, Hanks has turned to biopics.

Emma looks terrific for any woman, let alone a Hollywood star staple. Maybe the next time she attacks plastic surgery, she could also let fans in on her secrets for staying so darn good looking as an alternative plan to going under the knife.
